Faculty Group Leaders: Prof. D. Bhattacherjee & Dr. S. A. Hussain
Thin Film and Nanoscience Laboratory is established in the Department of Physics, Tripura University (A Central University), India with an ambition to generate high quality research in the field of Thin Film Science.
⇒ Preparation of thin films using –
(i) Langmuir – Blodgett (LB)
(ii) Layer-by-Layer Self Assembly
(iii) Spin Coating
(iv) Vacuum deposition technique etc.
⇒ Study the Optical, Mechanical and Electrical properties of thin films.
⇒ Study Organo-clay hybrid films with improved optical & electrical properties
⇒ Study of Fluorescence Resonance Energy Transfer (FRET) & design of FRET based sensors
⇒ Mimicking artificial biomembrane in order to understand different natural process and their mechanism.
⇒ Study of nanoscale aggregates in ultrathin films.
⇒ Application of thin films in optoelectronic devices with special emphasis to various sensors.
⇒ Theoretical modeling and calculations using Gaussian Ink 03.
